Aloha

Founded in 2009 by Keaukaha homesteader Malani Alameda and his wife Kayle, Homesteady is a brand rooted in Hawaiian pride, culture, and community. Known for its signature HeHiAu (“He Hawai‘i Au”) logo, the message is simple but strong: I am Hawaiian.

But Homesteady is more than just apparel—it’s a lifestyle. For Malani, being Hawaiian isn’t about what you wear, it’s about how you live. That belief comes from growing up in the tight-knit homestead community of Keaukaha, where his family has lived for four generations. His great-grandmother was awarded one of the first homestead lots in town, passed down to his grandfather George “Bully” Alameda Jr., then to his mother Tina Marie Alameda. When she was offered another lot just down the road, there was no question that Malani would continue the legacy. He built a home there with Kayle, raising their three children, Kepoʻinalu, Puku‘i, and Tainui, in the same community that shaped him.

Today, that deep connection to Keaukaha influences everything Malani does.

Homesteady honors what it truly means to be Hawaiian.
